COVID Safety Plan

Our COVID Safety Plan

The organisers at DHF and the venue of MCEC have followed all government and health advice, which has led to us being approved as a COVID Safe by the Victorian Government.

COVID Safety Measures in place at the MCEC

In respect of our commitment to protecting your health whilst at the MCEC, we have placed a well-known range of measures throughout the venue, in order to safeguard the wellbeing of our attendees, visitors, contractors and team members.

Due to the on-going outbreak of COVID-19, MCEC Melbourne has put in place all steps and precautions across the venue as recommended by the Australian Government Department for Health, which will ensure the safety of all visitors.

Wellbeing of Visitors

We request that you do not attend the event if you:

  • Are unwell with fever, cough, sore throat and/or flu like symptoms
  • Have been unwell within the previous 72 hours
  • Have been in or visited a COVID-19 area of concern in the previous 14 days

Facemasks

We will intend on notifying all attendees in advance if they are required to wear a face mask as a condition of entry

Check-in Required for Entry

Only pre-registered and ticketed attendees can enter the expo halls and conferences. This ensures we are able to contact all attendees via their registration details if required.

All attendees will be required to download the COVID Safe Check-in App and will be required to scan in separate areas of the event.

Hygiene and Cleaning

  • Hand sanitisers with supporting signage will be scattered throughout the MCEC
  • Guidance on handwashing and coughing/sneezing etiquette in bathrooms
  • Tissues and bins for hygienic disposal with the addition of thorough & regular cleaning of surfaces (i.e., bathrooms, benches, ATMs, and all touchpoints)

Keeping your Distance

  • Crowd Density in all areas must be adhered to (approximately 1.5 meters) but will only be thoroughly enforced if required by changing government regulations;
  • This is also the case for Maximum Capacity, as there currently is no limit

Medical Services

  • A dedicated first aid room and isolation area will be constructed for ill-feeling attendees or if COVID-19 symptoms are displayed on-site
